The Use and Abuse of Mobile Phone

Introduction :

Mobile Phone is a wonderful invention of modern science. It is a small portable Technological device that cut across distances  and help us to communicate with anyone,  anywhere and at any time easily. Mobile Phone was invented by Charles E. Alden. This phone uses cellular network over a radio link for communication. This hand-held portable phone is used for many purposes. So it has spread faster than any other technology.

Uses : 

Mobile Phone offers a great many services. We can do text-messaging, MMS, , calculation so on. Even we get news, video games, music, videos, e-mail, songs and take photos through internet. Moreover it provides net-banking service. We can transfer cash payments by Mobile Phone.

High end mobile phones or Smartphones act as computers. It may be used as a pass time recreation. But in this age it is of great use to businessmen. They carry on their business deal over mobile phone. Even mobile phone  helps to trace out a criminal by their service provider. 

Abuses : 

But there are many demerits of the cell phone as well. To many, it is an addiction rather than a necessity. On 31st May 2011 the  WHO has started that mobile phone users have long-term health problems. Recent statistics show that mobile phone users have increased risks of brain tumor and cancer. Many advanced countries have banned the use of mobile phones along the road as it leads to road accidents. 

Nowadays student use this phone to play video games or talk uselessly hours after hours with their friends. The loud ringtones of the phone is a direct threat to class discipline. 

Privacy is often violated. Terrorists use this gadget to trigger bombs and achieve their ends. The electromagnetic radiation in the microwave range is harmful to health. Even the mobile towers effect in the life of plants and animals.

Conclusion :

With all its advantages, what is, therefore, needed is moderation in the use of mobile phones. Otherwise it will lead us to ruin.
