IMPORTANCE OF TREE PLANTATION

Tress are useful and beautiful gifts of nature. Trees are our best friends. Trees supply fresh oxygen which is necessary for our survival. Trees supply us wood for furniture, different varieties of fruits, firewood, rubber, resin, gums, and various ingredients for medicines. Trees induce rains to produce crops and the roots of trees bind loose soil and prevent soil erosion. An area without trees soon becomes barren and turns into a desert in course of time. They give us shelter and protect wildlife. Trees also prevents environmental pollution by supplying fresh air and absorbing carbon dioxide. Trees thus help in maintaining ecological balance. Trees also provides beauty of the environment. Hence we must take utmost care to grow more trees and stop deforestation. It is a good idea to teach the students and public the importance of trees in human life. The State Government are also taking various programmes to create public awareness about necessity of protection of trees.
