VIRAT KOHLI

Virat Kohli, one of the best cricketers of India. He was born on 5th November in the year of 1988 in Delhi. He is the son of  Prem Kholi, who was a criminal lawyer. His mother, Saroj Kholi, is a homemaker. Virat showed deep interest in cricket from a very tender age of three years. When he was nine years old, he was enrolled at the West Delhi Cricket Academy. Besides being a right-handed batsman and a right arm medium pacer, Kholi is also an outstanding fielder. He made his test debut in 2011 and was made the captain of the Indian Cricket team in 2014.  He holds records of making more than 8000 runs in Test Matches and more than 1200 runs in One Day International (ODI) matches. He was awarded the ‘Arjuna Award’ in 2013 and ‘Padma Shri Award’ in 2017 by the Government of India for his mind blowing performance. In the same year, Virat and Anushka (Bollywood actress) got married in a private ceremony in Tuscany, Italy.  On 25 September 2018, the Govt. Of India conferred him with the prestigious ‘Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award.’ It is he on whom the future of Indian cricket depends at present. Undoubtedly, he is one of them, on whom India can take pride.
